Welcome Y'all

Hopefully the name of this blog speaks for itself. I envision it being one of humor, exhortation, random musings, theological discussion, sports, and things that impact my life and could bless yours. Sometimes it might be a verse or a funny story, a sports score that has me up in arms or a profound truth that has hit me. I pray you find your visit here blessing your heart.

HAPPY NEW YEAR (plus two weeks)!

Welcome to 2009! Here we are in the last year of the decade and honestly, I'm glad because I have spent at least 9 years wondering what to call this decade. Are we in the 2000's? The 10's? Single digits? I am ready for some clarification on this. Does anyone really know what we call this decade?
I hope this past year was a year to remember for you as it was for me. In some ways, there were many things that I would love, and I mean, LOVE to forget. However, there were some really great things that the Lord was gracious in, not the least of which is good health and a still relatively intact sense of humor, though someone told me this week that I had no sense of humor. WHAT? This someone does not read this blog, I don't think. Clearly, I live a very funny life, even in the mundane things. But, like everyone else, sometimes it is truly a laugh or cry situation and I try to choose to laugh. Sometimes I laugh so hard that I cry, which is the best, if I may say.

I wanted to follow up on a few things that I left hanging in my last post. The CD is NOT completed as of yet. I know that sounds absolutely incomprehensible given the time frame we are looking at. This is one of those laugh or cry situations. I have cried (and cried a lot at times) over this, but I remember that God has ordained this project to release on a specific date and I trust that He has the days numbered until the day of release. I trust Him with that and know that He is working all things out for His glory and I will not argue with that. Even if it never comes out, which I have pondered several times, I will still praise Him for the experience and joy He has allowed me to have in the journey. I have seen Him move in very "mountainous" ways and I love Him for it.

The CD was printed albeit a day later than expected which led to a different printer completing the job. They were to be delivered on Christmas Eve, which would have been a terrific irony for me but alas, I received a phone call saying that the job had been refused because the printing was too dark. (However, in case anyone was wondering, I was told that I would "make a really cute Puerto Rican girl." So glad to know that because on the off chance that I wanted to go that route, at least I know the results would be favorable.) The CD was reprinted and expected to be delivered two weeks ago and then this past week. I received a phone call from my graphic designer who said that the CDs were not going to be ready because they were "not good". They had printed the lot and upon receipt, they were once again refused due to poor workmanship. So, I have told once again that it will be this week when they will be reprinted. I keep trusting that whatever the delay, the Lord will receive glory in this and He will be pleased with the final product and everything He will "Hear".

I am enjoying my new digs that I moved into in the fall. The Lord is good. We have had a few plumbing problems this morning but it appears to be an easy, albeit costly, fix. I am excited that He has me here and know that He will continue to move in our best interest and for the greater good.

May the L0rd bless you and your family in 2009. May He be the center of your world and demonstrate His great blessings which will draw you closer to Him.

Bless you.

yeah . . . you just point me to that person who says you have no sense of humor. I'd like to have a word (or two) with him or her.

So, I'm wondering.....
You've had this graphic printed what 3, 4, or 28 times now? That's ludicrous in the first place, but that's not my question. My question is this: What are they doing with all of the incorrect Puerto Rican copies? Is this like when they print "championship" tee shirts for both teams in the Super Bowl and end up donating all of the ones for the losing team to some third world country? Wouldn't it be ironic if you became a Puerto Rican superstar accidentally? What if you were on a mission trip to say, Haiti, and they knew you there. Weird! Kind of makes you think.....
